Safe download, step by step
- 1Open github.com in your browser and go to 2dust/v2rayNG or hiddify/hiddify-app.
- 2Open Releases and choose the newest version that is not marked pre-release.
- 3Download the arm64-v8a file for most phones made after 2018. The universal file works on any phone.
- 4When Android asks, allow your browser to install this one app, and install it.
- 5Afterwards go back to Settings and remove that permission from the browser.
How to spot a fake
- •The site is not GitHub or the Play Store. APK mirror sites and Telegram channels do not count as sources.
- •The file name has extra words such as mod, pro, premium, unlocked or VIP.
- •The page asks you to switch off Play Protect.
- •The app asks for contacts, SMS, storage or accessibility access. A VPN client needs none of these.
- •The download waits behind three fake Download buttons and a countdown.
The free fire proxy server apk trap
A large share of VPN and proxy APK searches in India are about games: free fire proxy server apk, proxy server free fire apk download, free fire max proxy server apk and many versions with numbers, such as proxy server free fire apk 2026. These files are not VPNs and they are not real game servers. They are repackaged apps carrying adverts or spyware, promoted by YouTube videos that are paid per install. The game's servers decide your matches. An APK on your phone cannot change that. It can steal your account.
The same warning applies to any page offering a strange VPN apk download with a name you have never heard of.
After you install
- ✓Open the app once and check that it asks only for the VPN permission.
- ✓Keep Play Protect on. It scans sideloaded apps as well.
- ✓Updates will not arrive automatically, so check the GitHub page every month or two.
- ✓If the Play Store version becomes available to you later, switch to it.
- ✓Never install an APK that someone sends you in a chat, even a friend. Their account may have been hacked.
Then add your key

- 2In the client tap the plus sign and import from the clipboard or the QR code.
- 3Connect to Singapore.
- 4Check your IP address to confirm that it worked.

Questions
Things people ask the bot
Is it safe to install a VPN APK?
Only from the developer's GitHub releases page. Anywhere else, you are trusting a stranger with all your traffic.
Which APK file should I choose?
arm64-v8a for most modern phones. Choose universal if you are not sure.
Are mod or premium VPN APKs safe?
No. A modified VPN app can read everything you do.
Does a free fire proxy server apk work?
No. It cannot affect the game's servers, and it often steals accounts.
Will the APK update itself?
No. You need to install new versions by hand.
Do I need an APK for Akimbo?
No. We have no app. You only need a client, and the Play Store version is fine.
Still unsure?
Support and your key live in the same Telegram bot. The setup page shows which app to install.
