The six countries
- Singapore: the everyday choice from most of India.
- United Arab Emirates: a close second, often best from the west and south west.
- Japan: East Asian services, and a good backup route.
- Germany: Europe, steady in the evening.
- France: a second European route.
- United States: for services that want an American address.

Why there is no server in India
Since 2022 the CERT-In rules require VPN companies to keep customer names, addresses and usage records for five years for any server located in India. Several large VPN brands removed their Indian servers because of this. We have none either. A server in India would mean keeping exactly the records we promise not to keep. That is why every IP address you get from us belongs to another country.
Choosing well
- ✓Everyday browsing, YouTube, calls: the nearest country.
- ✓An app that is banned in India: Singapore first, then UAE or Japan.
- ✓A US or European service: the country that matches it.
- ✓Slow in the evening: switch between Singapore and UAE before trying anything else.
- ✓A site refuses one country: try another. Some sites block ranges of server addresses.
Switching country
- 1Open your client. The imported key shows the list of countries.
- 2Tap the one you want and reconnect.
- 3Check what IP address you now have on any lookup page. The location by IP address should match your choice.

Questions
Things people ask the bot
Which server location is fastest from India?
Singapore for most users, and UAE for the west coast.
Do you have an Indian server?
No. Indian law would force us to keep customer records for it, so we do not run one.
Can I get an Indian IP from abroad?
Not from us. See the Indian IP guide for the reasons and the alternatives.
Does changing country cost extra?
No. All six countries are included in every plan and in the free days.
Why does a site block one country?
Some sites block groups of data centre addresses. Another country usually works.
How do I check which country I am in?
Open any my IP address find page. It shows the country of the server you chose.
Still unsure?
