Setup
- 1Install V2Box from the Mac App Store, or download the Hiddify disk image from its GitHub releases page and drag it to Applications.
- 2Open @akimbo_key_bot in Telegram and take the five free days.
- 3Copy the vless:// line and choose import from clipboard in the app.
- 4When macOS asks to add VPN configurations, click Allow and enter your Mac password.
- 5Choose Singapore or UAE and connect.
The two macOS questions
The first question asks whether the app may add a VPN configuration. It appears once, and the answer is Allow. The second appears only for Hiddify, because it was downloaded outside the App Store. macOS warns that the app came from the internet. Click Open. If the Mac refuses, go to System Settings, Privacy and Security, and click Open Anyway. Do this only for a file that you downloaded from the project's own page.

Does it work on M1, M2 and later Macs?
Yes. Both apps run natively on Apple silicon, and on Intel as well.
Does a VPN change my MAC address?
No. It changes your IP address. A MAC address is a hardware number and is not sent over the internet.
Do I need OpenVPN?
No. Our key uses VLESS, which OpenVPN apps cannot read.
macOS says the app cannot be opened. What should I do?
Allow it in Privacy and Security, and only if you downloaded it from the project's GitHub page.
Will it slow down my MacBook?
No. Your speed depends on your line and on how far away the server is.
How do I remove it?
Delete the app and remove the VPN entry in System Settings, Network.
