The protocol, and what it does not protect
Plain answers on what the key encrypts and what it cannot.
Akimbo uses one transport on all 6 countries: VLESS over Reality. To a network that inspects traffic it looks like a normal HTTPS session, which is why the key passes filters that stop OpenVPN and WireGuard.
What it protects
- Traffic between your device and the country is encrypted with TLS 1.3
- Your operator and any Wi-Fi owner see only an HTTPS session to one address
- DNS queries go through the tunnel, not to the local resolver
- Sites you open see the country's address, not yours
What it does not protect
- Accounts you log into still know who you are
- A compromised device is compromised with or without a key
- Nobody can promise total anonymity, and we do not
Why there is no app
We would rather you run open source clients than trust a binary from us. v2rayNG, Hiddify and Streisand are audited by their own communities and they stay in the stores because they are general purpose tools.
If you find a weakness, write to the bot. We fix real reports the same week and say so on this page.
